Abstract
This study evaluates the adapted threshold of temperature, salinity and dissolve oxygen of stonefish fry (Synanceia verrucosa Bloch & Schneider, 1801) in artificial breeding. As a result, 50% of the challenged fish died as temperature was either reduced to 130C or increased up to 370C; 50% of the challenged fish died as salinity was either reduced to 6‰ or increased up to 49‰; and about 2/3 (66.6 %) of the challenged fish died as dissolve oxygen reduced to 2.3 mg/L. These results showed that, the stonefish fry was well adapted to the fluctuation of the above environmental factors; this is very important information for studying on artificial seed production of this fish species.
