Abstract

Commercial lobster is a commodity that has high economic value in export and consumption in Vietnam. In recent years, due to climate change, the lobster farming in the sea has been facing many difficulties, as shrimp is easy to spread disease and pollute the water environment ... Therefore, Vietnam is conducting trial commercial lobster farming on land. Experiments showed that the suitable temperature for shrimp to grow well is about 27ºC to 28ºC.

The article introduces the design options, seawater conditioning system for lagoon aquaculture on land. The results show that the indoor unit is a type of coil, the surface area of heat exchangers 3.6 m² and made from stainless steel 316L work well in seawater. With a total volume of 195 m³, the compressor was installed with a capacity of 7.5 kW. Running time from 30ºC to 27ºC is 22.1 hours in one day, running time to maintain the temperature of 27ºC is 4.4 hours with energy consumption of 0.24 kWh/m³ water. Cost reduction is nearly 5 times lower than using ice plants for cooling.
