Abstract

    This paper focused on the research to determine colloidal substances and their concentrations in the preparation of the nano-silver lemongrass solution. Results of adding colloidal substances with different concentrations, such as: PVP (Polyvinylpyrrolidone) and PVA (Polyvinylalcohol 500) with concentrations of 0.15%, 0.3%, 0.45%, and 0.6%; and, chitosan with concentrations of 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.15%, and 0.3% to create the nano-silver lemongrass solution. Results showed that the nano-silver lemongrass solution with PVA of 0.3% had the highest optical absorbance. This indicated that the nano-silver lemongrass colloidal solution was the most stable.
