Abstract
The Central coast of Vietnam consists of 14 provinces, stretching over 1,800 km of coastline from Thanh Hoa to Binh Thuan. The climate conditions in this region are harsh, which often affected by drought and other natural disasters. The soil resources include mainly the coastal sandy soil, of which the exhausted soil accounts for a large proportion. The total sand soil area of Central provinces is about 100,000 ha [1] where agricultural activities are inefficient and facing many challenges. Hence, the production transition to shrimp farming on sand will help improve the efficiency of using sandy soil in the coastal area as well as create more jobs, raise the income for people and promote the socio-economic development for Central provinces. In the period of 2010-2016, shrimp farming on sand has been successfully developed with high growth rates of the area, productivity and production.
