Abstract
The correlation between environmental factors and the swollen siphon disease of otter clam in Van Don-Quang Ninh and Cat Ba-Hai Phong was determined by proactive monitoring approach including monitoring and observing otter clams at culture sites, analyzing environmental parameters water quality from 2017 to 2018. The results showed that 03 factors of salinity, temperature and total Vibrio density in the substrate were correlated to the disease of otter clam cultured in Van Don, Quang Ninh and Cat Ba, Hai Phong. The total Vibrio density has infl uenced the most on the swollen siphon disease, followed by temperature and salinity with the corresponding Beta index of 0.745; 0.251 and 0.108. In addition, the pH factor, phytoplankton density and total Vibrio density in water were not correlated with the swollen siphon disease of otter clam.
